Hello and welcome. My name is Jaclyne Smith and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work from a trauma informed perspective to help clients gain insight and control over their symptoms and behaviors. I treat maladaptive coping behaviors, such as addiction or binge eating, as symptoms of underlying emotional content that is too painful to tolerate on our own. My goal is to create a space where clients learn how to acknowledge and tolerate the intolerable, and gain the insight and self compassion necessary to regain control of their lives and their story. I specialize in working with trauma, dissociation, and disordered eating, but also work with other underlying issues such as depression and BPD.
