Therapist Overview
As humans we have issues from time-to-time. Sometimes we need some assistance in working through them effectively. They can be relational, work, personal, professional direction or many more. Some struggle with retirement (when or if) or now that they have, what do they do with their time. Others struggle with broken relationships or the loss of a loved one. Others are unhappy with their lives generally and need help finding a path that takes them to a better place. I enjoying assisting clients with all these issues. Clients already come with strengths and a resilience they may not even realize. I believe in them. I have 35 years of experience working with clients across a range of issues. For much of those years I worked within an Employee Assistance Program assessing issues and using cognitive-behavioral approaches to addressing those issues. I’ve helped clients through both short-term therapy, as well as, longer-term work as their needs required. I approach client issues from a philosophy that sees our lives as having components in the areas of: thinking, feeling, physical, spiritual, and volitional (they can choose to change). I approach therapy from a cognitive-behavioral and positive psychology perspective. As humans we all have struggles, I enjoy helping my clients work through theirs.
