Therapist Overview
Life doesn’t come with an instruction manual. Interpersonal struggles, career obstacles or mental health issues can make us feel confused about who we are, where we fit in and how to move forward. I specialize in helping individual adults and couples in their 20s and 30s navigate difficult feelings, identify and change dysfunctional thoughts and patterns, and overcome challenging situations in order to enjoy a more peaceful mind and a happier life. My approach is open, casual, and collaborative, and I operate a space that is accepting of all and free of judgment. I am LGBTQIA+-friendly, sex-positive, and culturally-sensitive. I leverage tools and techniques from a variety of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Postmodern approaches, and Mindfulness, depending on my clients’ unique needs and presenting issues. I hold a certification in Trauma-Focused CBT, and have been trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. As an East Coast transplant, I am warm yet direct, and I strive to bring humility, empathy and humor to all of my client interactions. Together, we will work to build on your strengths, ease your presenting symptoms, unpack your baggage and transform the limiting beliefs about yourself and the world that are no longer serving you.
