Therapist Overview
My mission is to help you to explore your life experience, to come to better know your true self, and to become empowered to enjoy your best possible quality of life. Realizing and building upon inner strengths – and courageously working through difficulties within the safety of a therapeutic relationship – are important to this process. I work in a primarily psychodynamic, integrative way based upon each person’s individual needs and goals, whether related to relationships, trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, identity, life transitions, somatic symptoms, ADHD, problematic or self-defeating behaviors, or other issues. There is no clear separation between the mind, brain and body; all three store our life experiences, and therapy works because it changes them all. Clinical neurofeedback, a form of EEG biofeedback, is a treatment tool that can facilitate psychotherapy and can help with ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety/panic, PTSD, sleep difficulties, and other problems. Therapy is a two-way process of growth and transformation that enables me to learn from every client, and it is an honor to be invited to join you on your path toward self-understanding, improvement and healing.
