Therapist Overview

My desire is to create a safe place for adolescents and young adults to express themselves and work through the challenges of life. Growing up brings many natural transitions that can be challenging at times. With additional life stressors, life can feel overwhelming. Problems at school, low self-esteem, family conflict, past traumas, loss/grief, and other issues can create strong feelings that get in the way of normal functioning. I believe every person has a story of resilience and my role is to help integrate past experiences, cope with present hardships and create hope for the future. I use creative approaches including art, music, play, sand, creative writing and movement with a cognitive-behavioral lens to teach healthy coping skills and encourage self-awareness and self-expression.
