Therapist Overview
You might be a trauma survivor if……You are struggling in a place where your past and present collide and cause chaos and crisis. You need to make changes, but don’t know where to begin. You want to have good relationships, but seem to be much more skilled at pushing people away than drawing them closer. You have been told you have too much emotion or not enough real human feelings. ***Many things cause trauma, not only natural disasters or acts of war. Experiencing or witnessing neglect, all types of abuse, all types of violence and harm, etc. may cause traumatic stress that still exists in our bodies, minds, and spirits. If you think you might be dealing with trauma or grief, please know that there is hope and help. I use a variety of techniques to create a safe place for my clients to process and heal. Your past traumas impact your mind, body, and spirit. Therefore, we will find ways to work in as many of those areas as you find helpful for healing and personal growth. Real life is complicated and often downright scary. Everyone needs support and encouragement occasionally. Having someone to help you look at things differently can be life-changing. I applaud you for being courageous in taking the first step to seek help. I would be privileged to walk with you and yours as you seek to make healthy life changes.
