Various forms of self-medication and their surrounding issues create challenges not only for those directly affected but also for their loved ones. People struggling with addiction often sense the disconnect between their current reality and the potential they know they have if they can find a way to overcome their obstacles. I look forward to helping you achieve deep transformative change by shedding harmful behaviors, and equipping you with the tools needed to realize your full potential.

Therapist Overview

I have 20 years of experience working with trauma survivors from various service careers including policing, child protective investigations, and now as a mental health counselor and Certified Addiction Professional. Have you ever thought that therapy is for the “weak” or for those whose faith is not strong enough? Facing complicated and often frightening emotions, addressing deep wounds, and being vulnerable are some of the bravest things you can do. I offer a safe space for addressing issues like depression, anxiety, bereavement, relational conflict, personal growth, abuse/sexual trauma, and cumulative or complex trauma.

To escape distress, clients often turn to alcohol, drug use, overeating, impulsive purchasing, acting out sexually, or self-harm. Seeking temporary relief, these patterns can become self-defeating addictions that represent a complex interplay of mental, emotional, and spiritual challenges unique to each individual, shaped by their history and circumstances.

Addressing only the symptoms treats merely the surface, overlooking the profound causes driving addictive behaviors. As a non-judgmental “fellow traveler,” I use an integrated approach to create a comprehensive and collaborative recovery plan that empowers you with the tools and insights to build a life that is fulfilling, peaceful, and purpose-driven.
