Therapist Overview
Kristin has been practicing in the field of mental health since January 2011 and has been licensed in the state of MA since 2018. She has worked with rural populations in Minnesota and severely mentally ill teens in South Dakota. Kristin was a Crisis Clinician in Springfield, MA, primarily at the Mercy Hospital, provided in-home therapy in the New Britain area of CT, and was an outpatient clinician in Westfield, MA. Most recently, she worked with college students on the campus of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
Kristin has obtained the training and hours for certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and has focused much of her career since 2017 on working with clients who have Borderline Personality Disorder. Kristin has led multiple DBT-Life Skills groups and a Full DBT group, with accompanying individual treatment. Kristin has also led groups based on Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
Kristin has also attended trainings on Emotionally Focused Individual Treatment, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Solution Focused Assessment. Kristin has previously conducted court-mandated substance use evaluations for MA and provided court mandated therapy for Second Offenders (OUI). Kristin has also previously conducted DCF mandated assessments and therapy treatment.
