Therapist Overview
The process of counseling is a transformative journey. As a counselor, I work with individuals and couples who are seeking a change in their lives. Viktor Frankl once said “when we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves”. The challenge of changing ourselves can be met with hard work and a safe, supportive environment. My goal is to provide the safe environment for clients to explore parts of their identity and personality. I work with clients on understanding how their early family of origin experiences impact their current sense of self and how they approach challenges in life. I am currently licensed as an LPC-Intern under the supervision of Scott Martin, LPC-S and I am working on my doctoral degree in marriage and family therapy. I have additional training in affirmative therapy with the LGBTQIA+ community and have experience with Autism Spectrum and diverse communities. I work with adolescents, adults, seniors, and couples. Every day is a new opportunity to do better than before. But sometimes life makes it hard and situations can make us feel “stuck”. If you are feeling stuck and want to make a positive change in your life, you are making the first step toward a new perspective. I hope to facilitate your change and growth process. Together, we can help you meet your goals!
