Therapist Overview
I work with clients toward resolution and healing from the impacts of traumatic experiences, grief and loss, including persons experiencing dissociative symptoms. I help people in relationships learn to listen better to each other; I work with individuals with issues of dependency and/or internalization to find and use their voice. I am also a certified professional counselor supervisor (CPCS). I aspire to be fully present, to offer a dialogue in which each person becomes truly visible and encountered within a safe space, free of judgment. My focus is helping those suffering currently because of past experiences: I also work with other helping professionals, providing support, reflection and the processing of vicarious trauma. I believe successful counseling is “relational”; therefore, warmth, compassion, acceptance, consent, and safety are foundational in my approach. In our first session we will get to know each other, determine if we “fit”, and if what I can provide will be of help.
