As we enter another season still facing the COVID threat and social unrest, many of us are feeling sad, anxious, frustrated, and restless. We feel isolated. We worry about our children’s schooling, our jobs, and of course, our own and our loved ones’ health. I can help you to recognize the areas in which you feel stressed or stuck and give you tools for dealing with this “new normal” in which we are living. Times like these can really shake us out of our complacency, and we can make amazing strides towards the lives we’ve always wanted. I’d be honored to help you navigate these challenging times. You are not alone! I use a variety of modalities including role-playing, solution-focused techniques, mindfulness-based practices, journaling/creative writing, and narrative reflection on your past experiences. I am knowledgeable about depression, anxiety, ADHD, parenting, intimate relationships, grief and addiction. My approach is strengths-based and tailored to your goals. We all can use an objective person to help us process our feelings and set and achieve goals. Seeing a therapist is not the same as calling a friend for “advice.” Instead, therapy helps you to recognize behaviors and thoughts that may be leading to unnecessary pain and conflict in your life. I can help you gain additional tools to thrive during hard times.
