Therapist Overview
Trauma-informed practice allows individuals to acknowledge why their brains are behaving a specific way while giving them the opportunity to begin the healing process with effective coping strategies.
I graduated from University of Southern California with my masters of school counseling, while additionally focusing on mental health counseling and scopes of practice. My training is focused on developmentally appropriate person-centered therapeutic skills. Here in Washington state, I have my credentialing to work as a school counselor and my associate license MHCA.MC.61405918 for mental health counseling.
My approach to working with clients is individual to the person seeking counseling services. Each person has a story that has shaped them to becoming who they are today. Discovering and exploring those pieces can additionally help us understand why our behaviors and reactions act in a specific way.
Our work together will be collaborative. You are the expert of your own experiences. I am present to lend a listening ear and to provide you with skills and strategies to help cope with daily struggles you might be facing. My creativity approach incorporates a blend of CBT, EFT, and DBT. I also have training in solution-focused brief therapy, which could be incorporated depending on the individual. I am a trauma-informed practice where I believe our past helps us understand our present, and we will work together to recognize and grow from those experiences.
