I believe that therapy is a healing process. We find the parts of ourselves that need healing to get to who we want to be and how we want to live. I believe that everyone has the ability to create those changes. In therapy, I focus on providing a safe space and joining you in this work, because I believe that much of healing needs to happen in relationship. My approach is relational, person-centered, and trauma-informed. That means I think the therapeutic relationship is a means of healing, that I allow you to lead the process, and that I am aware of how much trauma can impact our lives. I practice from a social justice lens. I am compassionate, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I am passionate about working with LGBTQI+ people, adolescents, spirituality, trauma, and dissociative disorders. I’m trained in pastoral counseling techniques and am happy to explore spiritual elements with those who are interested. I have experience working with people with depression, bipolar disorder, self-injury, anxiety, and psychosis. I work with people of all ages, but I’m particularly passionate about working with teens. I also work with people of all races, genders, sexual orientations, faiths, and disabilities. I have Saturday availability. I look forward to working with you.
