Therapist Overview
Hi. I am Diane Appal, MS, LPC and I work with patients age 14 and over for individual, couples and family therapy. I enjoy helping clients navigate through difficult circumstances including, but not limited to, loss of interest, boundary setting, lack of motivation, guilt, shame, anxiety, depression, grief, worry, low self-esteem and poor self-care. Accomplishing this requires establishing a trusting, authentic relationship that enables clients to play an active role in their own recovery. Through my years as a Licensed Professional Counselor I have developed the empathy, active listening skills and experiences to specialize in helping clients develop positive self-care and coping skills, let go of guilt, maintain boundaries, and understand and work through life’s challenges. I have a Master of Science in Education/Counseling from Missouri Baptist University and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, Cum Laude from Lindenwood University. I am also a coach, mentor and supervisor for master level clinicians who are completing their required 3,000 hours of supervision prior to obtaining their state license.
