Therapist Overview
Your past and present stress and pain have brought you to this moment and, by seeking help, you have already entered a phase of transition and transformation. Together we can form a working partnership to bring change into your life. I will help you clarify your issues, identify any obstacles and establish achievable goals. Then we will create a customized set of skills for independent problem solving in the future. I draw on concepts from solution-focused and strengths based therapies, cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness techniques. You will begin to experience your life from a new perspective and see a way forward. The resources that you develop will serve you when new problems arise. In addition to over 18 years in practice following a long business career, I have over 33 years in recovery and 75 years of living experience. I relate my therapy practice and my life to my spiritual practice of Aikido, a holistic, non-violent martial art which I teach in Montclair.
