Hello there. I am a compassionate advocate for mental health, the LGBTQIA+ community, and substance abuse. I am a member of the world professional association for transgender health (WPATH). I am licensed with the State of Iowa and Nebraska. Through my experience I have worked with teenagers, adults, and couples. My specialty populations include LGBTQIA+, gender and sexuality, stress, anxiety, depression, anger, drug and alcohol issues, and codependency. I also have experience in working with concerns relating to self-esteem, trust, guilt and shame, and trauma. My counseling approach builds on a simple foundation – getting to know you, what your strengths are, what your challenges are, and what your goals are. We can work together to establish a treatment to achieve them. In the meantime my approach starts with being strength based, solution-focused, interactive, validating, and affirming.
