As lead therapist at Houston Therapy for Girls, I have extensive experience working with girls age 7-25 and their families, and my goal is to create an accepting environment in which girls and young women can gain self-acceptance and learn skills to help them negotiate some of life’s most challenging years. I have ten years post-Master’s experience working with clients with four of those years spent working as a counselor at an all-girls private school. Having both attended and worked at all-girls schools, I have experienced first-hand the pressures and challenges girls face developing a sense of self in today’s world. My focus on helping girls and young women has helped me develop specific skills and knowledge to facilitate growth and meaningful change in my clients’ lives.
