I am a mother, sister, daughter, wife, stepmother, mother-in-law, grandmother, divorcee, widow, and friend. I come to this work experienced in life as well as in training. I did my undergraduate work in Speech Pathology/Audiology and Psychology and my graduate degree is in Counseling Psychology, with a specialty in Marriage Family Therapy. I have additional training in Cognitive Behavior, Family Systems, Grief and Trauma, Narrative, and Mindfulness therapies. I use an integrative approach to treatment, based on the client’s needs and presenting issues. After many years as a school guidance counselor at top ten, college prep institutions, known for academic rigor and competitive admissions, I am intimately familiar with the inherent pressures endured by parents, families, and students. The growing number of people struggling with anxiety and depression is staggering, even in our youngest children.
