Therapist Overview
Life is challenging and while we all have coping skills to assist us in times of struggle, sometimes life overwhelms and we need additional support to become unstuck. Counseling is essentially a journey of self-discovery; an exploration of who you are and how you show up in the world. Together we will seek to uncover the things that may be holding you back from your goals and aspirations, while bringing compassion, understanding, and healing to the hurting parts of yourself. I work with individuals, couples, and families, and have specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Functional Family Therapy, Motivational Interviewing/Motivational Enhancement Therapies, as well as mindfulness-based approaches. I have been fortunate to work with clients on issues including relational conflict, anxiety, depression, trauma, gender identity, sexual orientation, substance use, grief/loss, stress, and life transitions. I welcome the opportunity to be a part of your journey of self-discovery and personal growth.
