Therapist Overview

My primary focus as a counselor is working with individuals in transitionary phases of their lives to regulate anxiety, depression and trauma responses that can occur with change and other life stressors. As a mental health counselor, I strive to facilitate awareness of the mind-body connection. The impact of everyday stressors and past experiences on physical and emotional health is often overlooked. Identifying thought patterns and behaviors that impact your interactions in the world and overall feelings about self can help you to work toward living your authentic life in contentment and joy. My therapeutic approach focuses on strengths and incorporates aspects of mindfulness, and cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy to build confidence in decisions and recognize patterns that contribute to positive life outcomes and those that are contributing to challenges. Therapy is a journey of guided self-discovery. You are the expert in your own life my role is to help you define your personal goals and work toward the changes that you are seeking. If you are ready to take the first steps toward that change please call for a consultation.
