Every person is the expert of their own journey. Throughout your life you have developed methods to cope with your experiences, both good and bad, that have helped you get to where you are. As you grow and change, some ways of coping become toxic, impeding, rather than supporting positive change. Through our therapeutic relationship I can help you identify those patterns of thought and behavior that are causing distress and help you develop the tools to replace them with the skills and understanding you need to move forward. I use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)/Psychodynamic approach to help clients make positive changes. I center client experience and recognize the strength and expertise my clients bring to our sessions. It is my job to set my clients up for success. I work with clients experiencing a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, inter-personal conflict, adjustment, parenting, and life transitions. I also work with children and families. I specialize in ADHD, anxiety/depression and inter-family conflict. I strongly encourage parental involvement. Therapy doesn’t exist in a vacuum and therapeutic success can only be achieved when therapists and caregivers work together. Therapy brings an outside perspective on your unique experiences and helps you recognize your own capacity for change.
