Therapist Overview

Let’s be honest, life can be overwhelming and exhausting. Living with anxiety, depression, guilt, anger, or shame can be draining and leave us feeling hollow. We’re all facing our own challenges and these become harder when we feel stuck, don’t see our worth, or find ourselves constantly in our heads. We’re naturally inclined to focus on our mistakes, limitations, doubts, and insecurities. The odd thing is, most of us experience the same things, but we don’t really talk about it. These feelings can be debilitating, but there are research-based methods that help people find more peace of mind, security, and joy. It has always been interesting to me that we have the ability to grow our minds to experience life differently. I love it. I love meeting people, hearing their stories and working together. To help people take control of their lives, I’ve trained in evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I also incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindful Self-compassion. It’s normal to feel hesitant or awkward in starting therapy. It’s a journey, but worth it in the end. I’m excited to meet you and work together. -Gil
