Therapist Overview
Suffering happens in isolation. The power of human connection and telling your story can be very healing. I believe we are all incredibly resilient at our cores, though this can be overshadowed and challenged by expected and unexpected change, difficult events & trauma, and the subsequent wading & struggling through transition that inevitably follows. I can help you work through the hard parts. Expand awareness around destructive patterns and learn about & apply practices that improve your quality of life. You can manage really overwhelming feelings, reduce pain, deepen & enjoy relationships and even rediscover peace of mind. I draw from a wide range of therapeutic styles, methods and techniques. I often use talk therapy informed by a multitude of psychological approaches, established sciences and protocols to achieve wellness. I’m trained in EMDR and am further developing a focus on other somatic-based therapies to treat mood & anxiety disorders, trauma and chronic pain. Connection and safety are important. My approach is warm, collaborative, direct, and always supportive. I have a relational style and engage humor and compassion in building a positive therapeutic connection to allow for symptom relief, healing & personal growth.
