Therapist Overview

Therapy can feel like a scary step to take. One of the first priorities I focus on is working with that fear, that uncomfortable feeling–It Gets Better. Establishing that trust and rapport is essential in the immediate stage of therapy so that the work ahead does not feel like work but instead like a new found strength that comes from within. I begin my therapeutic process with the Person-Centered Approach and then use the best research based approach. It is important to understand the best fit for you! I use the Family Symptoms approach when working with my young population as it is important to include family dynamics. I am also a Certified Grief Counselor Specialist. I have a great passion for working with our young folks; ages 3 to 18. I utilize Play, Art, and Dance Therapy. I have also worked with a diverse group of individuals and welcome anyone struggling from grief, anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, Trauma, relationships, and impulse control disorders. I am a US Navy veteran so I welcome all Veterans.
