Therapist Overview
I think that in many ways, mainstream culture opposes our aliveness. Our belonging suffers because of the narrow boxes prescribed to us. If you feel stunted, stuck, or like you can’t get it together, I don’t believe there is anything wrong with you; I believe that you’ve adapted to a context. As an embodiment-based, relational therapist with a neurobiological lens, I am here to help in the exploration of YOU with curiosity and presence. I believe we are multifaceted beings, with a lot more energetic real estate than we give ourselves credit for. Our work will address self-defeating beliefs and focus on fostering more creative ones. I have particular experience with food relationships, body image, and the Highly Sensitive (HSP). I often find myself working with activists, writers, organizers, and/or spiritually-identified beings. I also work with couples to deepen intimacy through embodiment practices, effective communication skills, and a focus on the attachment-system. My belief is that we all have an evolutionary impulse to grow and transform. My approach is rooted in a non-judgmental space that incorporates embodiment, mindfulness, and humor. I also show up as fully human, tattoos and all. Contact me for a free phone consult. Evening times available.
