Therapist Overview
I help clients heal using a blend of Christian and Cognitive Behavioral therapy when working with individuals, couples, and families. Most of my practice is spent working with couples and helping individuals experience healing from emotional wounds, anxiety disorders, depression, grief/loss, self-esteem, and existential/life adjustment issues. I have been working for over 15 years helping couples build a better marriage. When working with couples I combine the Prepare/Enrich Assessment with the Hope-Focused Marriage Counseling technique developed by Dr. Everett L. Worthington Jr. Hope-focused Marriage Counseling is a brief therapy approach that a) helps couples build hope through fostering motivation to work on the relationship, b) teaches tangible ways to change while strengthening a couple’s resolve to wait on God, and c) correcting weaknesses in love, faith, and work.
