I love what I do as a psychologist and have enjoyed working with many different people. While my profile reflects some populations and treatments I’ve had more experience with, I won’t narrow down my list of preferred clients because I don’t have such preferences. Whom ever walks into my office always has something that I can connect to & see an opportunity for change. In addition, I know that the person who presents for therapy with a certain set of concerns may reveal to be a different person with different sets of concerns as sessions progress. The bigger variable is whether I’m the right fit for you. Hopefully I will be. Here’s some beliefs that inform my craft: Psychology is a vital science (I keep up with new research!). Connection is crucial (my genuine concern is an asset to treatment). Family is important (loved ones should always be involved). History matters to the future (knowing the past is how we change). Meeting people where they’re at (you’re the customer!). Therapy is a service, so be an informed customer! The working alliance is the most essential ingredient to success in therapy.
