Therapist Overview
I’ve been a counselor for 30 years. The love I have for my work is as strong today as it was when I first started. I appreciate the often difficult choices my clients have to make and empathize with the courage it takes to be healthier ! In my practice, I work with people suffering from depression and anxiety. From my hospice background, I work with individuals and couples grappling with chronic illness, end of life, and bereavement. I work with people in recovery, ACOA and other forms of dependency. I work with couples. Some therapy/counseling techniques and strategies include but aren’t limited to CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), cognitive therapy, behavioral therapy, Rogerian client centered counseling ,a systems perspective, couples counseling, psychodynamic therapy, psychoeducational and interpersonal counseling. I strive to create a counseling relationship that will enable us to focus on long term healing. Many of my referrals come from former clients recommending me to other people.
