Therapist Overview
Finding the right match in a counselor is a daunting challenge. It can be stressful to find a competent and caring professional who can listen to your concerns and help you find a way forward. In my experience, people have unique needs, backgrounds, and challenges. Even common mental health challenges like anxiety and depression look different for each person. I therefore collaborate with clients to find an individualized counseling approach that works best for each person. I draw from a variety of counseling theories, including person-centered therapy, psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and existential therapy. I have provided counseling services to adolescents, couples, families, and adults since 2006. Informed by my work as a professor at Boston University School of Medicine, I have extensive experience with anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, grief and loss, self-esteem, and sexuality issues, including clients who identify as LGBTQQIA. Whether you are coming to counseling for the first time, or have seen multiple counselors over the years, I would be glad to meet with you and see if I can be of help. My office space in the Financial District is located between the State Street and Downtown Crossing MBTA stations. Feel free to e-mail me directly at [email protected].
