Therapist Overview

I’ve provided and supervised counseling services for over 30 years in a variety of settings with all age groups. My experience and training has convinced me of several things i.e., relationships define our sense of self; we look to our relationships for comfort and safety; when we are validated we function better and these important relationships support our continued growth and well-being. I believe successful counseling is a commitment to recreate a safety zone that allows each person to communicate their needs at a deeper, more genuine level, and practice more effective ways of relating to others. I am an Approved Clinical Social Work Supervisor. Current member: Austin Psychoanalytic; Board Member Austin Psychoanalytic 2019-20
