Therapist Overview
It is perfectly normal for individuals, couples, and families to experience problems at various times, and therapy can be very useful in helping to navigate life’s trials and transitions. I believe that everyone possesses abundant natural strengths and resiliencies to draw from to achieve goals and move closer to a preferred life. I help clients with many issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, family conflict, and addiction issues. I think of my role as a collaborator and guide, working relationally with you to find solutions and foster well-being. I consider the various contexts of your life, including biological, psychological, family, social, cultural, and spiritual. Additionally, I explore issues of power and oppression as they may relate to aspects of identity (e.g., gender, race, sexual orientation) and help to restore relational equity in the family system. I do not accept insurance but am happy to provide you with a “superbill” that you can submit to your carrier for reimbursement. Sliding scale is also available.
