Therapist Overview
I specialize in helping people improve their ability to experience emotions in a healthy way. This includes working with clients who have experienced chronic and complex trauma, who have difficulty regulating emotions and behaviors, and who want to discover and develop the best versions of themselves. I work with individuals, families, and other relationships. Common issues we can resolve together include depression, anxiety, anger, relationship/boundary issues, self-esteem, parent/child conflict, and adoption-related issues. I have helped clients from age 5 – 85 achieve their therapeutic goals. I strongly believe in working with clients as partners towards their unique goals following a variety of approaches depending on what will best serve the client. I use a trauma/neuro-informed model of treatment. Modalities include parts therapy, solution-focused therapy, CBT, mindfulness and self-regulation, motivational interviewing, and play therapy. I am passionate about helping others through their personal transformations in a safe, supportive environment. It is an honor and privilege to be part of the healing process. I believe in holding space, or being present with the client so they are not alone in this amazing journey of growth and self-discovery. Together, we can make those changes you deserve!
