Therapist Overview
Sometimes life can become complicated and we need help moving through challenges. Seeing a counselor can be a beneficial and meaningful experience. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I work hard to make sure all of my clients feel comfortable to discuss difficult topics in session. It is my goal to help clients discover more about themselves and who they would like to become through counseling. I keep up to date on mental health research and best practices. I am currently receiving my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Kent State University. I specialize in depression, anxiety, substance use, and trauma work. I have training in both Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, so I utilize the most evidence based techniques to help foster change within my clients. I have found that helping clients make even the smallest change can lead to a significant difference in their quality of life. It is my goal with each client to promote positive change! As a member of Middle Path Counseling, I pride myself on cultural competency and embracing the diversity and unique qualities of each individual entering the counseling setting. It is my goal to provide a safe space for all who walk through my door. I aim to help anyone make beneficial changes in their lives regardless of what they are going through!
