Therapist Overview
“Taking courageous steps to a hopeful future” is our motto. Therapy is a very personal and intimate relationship in which you should feel comfortable and not judged. I strive to give you my all, so long as you’re ready and willing. I do firmly believe that our upbringing affects how we view and interact with the world. However, it does not need to define us. I use a variety of theoretical orientations to help you navigate your way. I was trained as a Marriage & Family Therapist with a specialization in Latino Family Therapy. My specialization means that I am more than just a bilingual Spanish speaker. I also hold a post-masters certification in the psychology of trauma (aka PTSD). During my graduate program, I began the required courses to pursue an LCDC. This led me to working in drug prevention and I worked with Dallas County Community and Corrections (as an LPC), I am knowledgeable with alcohol and drug addiction.
