Therapist Overview
I believe the most powerful element in therapy is the relationship between the therapist and client; the connection must be supportive, non-judgmental and empathic. Like many therapists, my approach draws on concepts and techniques from many different modalities listed on the bottom of this page, but one needs to have the right fit. I believe much of the emotional pain people experience stems from a lack of compassion for themselves. We are often faced with challenging situations, difficult relationships, problems communicating and much more, in our day to day life. We all need someone we trust and WANT to talk to. I enjoy helping people manage anxiety, depression, relationship issues, learn healthier coping strategies and improve communication. I demonstrate unconditional positive regard, identify and reinforce strengths and assist client’s in gaining compassion and acceptance of themselves. It is invalueable to have someone with whom you can share the intimate details of your life and trust in their supportive guidance. I have 18 years of experience working with people of varied backgrounds with a broad range of problems. Whether you have mild disatisfaction with life or struggle with trauma and severe mental illness, I am here to help.
