Therapist Overview

“I struggle in relationships…” “I don’t know/trust myself and my thoughts and emotions…” “I feel on edge…” “I feel numb…” “I don’t why I feel bad, I just do…” ”I don’t know how to talk about it…” These are some common statements that I hear from clients that are just beginning therapy with me. These expressions are all symptoms of trauma. I am a trauma-specializing clinician who has worked with many people who have suffered from single-incident trauma and chronic trauma. Some examples include; assault, abuse, bullying, and tumultuous upbringings. During this chaotic time, many people are noticing an increase in anger, fear, sadness, shame, and guilt. Many are being flooded with difficult memories. My goal is to use my speciality of EMDR and other trauma treatments to work with you to process these unhealed traumas. No matter what type of support you need, my goal is to create a safe and trusting relationship where peace and contentment can prosper.
