Therapist Overview

Being a LMFT means to me that the focus of treatment is to improve relationships. I believe the most important relationship in a persons life is the relationship they have with themselves. In my experience people often treat others much better than they treat themselves. I enjoy going on a therapeutic journey with people to help find themselves, to find that compassion that they give to others and to learn that they too deserve that same love and compassion. I like to use art as a way of expression (when needed) with my clients because I believe that art can communicate what words sometimes cannot. I have a BA in Biological sciences(UConn) and a MS in MFT(CCSU). This combination of art and science has allowed me to help people using two different lenses. I saw families in outpatient clinics which served a very diverse population. As part of the Ana Grace Project I was embedded in the 3 schools and a behavioral school to see clients from grades K-12. I believe that everyone is unique and I also believe that no one is perfect. Societies pressure to be perfect is often the heavy burden people bare and thus I like to help people find what is right with them. Creating that solid foundation allows the therapeutic journey to flourish.
