Therapist Overview
I have a Masters Degree in Counseling from Siena Heights University and have been working with adolescents and adults for 25 years. My intention is to utilize whatever modality of therapy is helpful to my client, but I have a special interest in providing Ecotherapy. I am retired from the Harbor Light in Monroe, Michigan, where I served as a therapist and Clinical Supervisor for over 22 years. I have assisted clients with depression, addictions and anxiety. I am also offering supervision services to LLPC’s who do not have a qualified supervisor at their place of employment. Ecotherapy, while being a fairly new modality, is very helpful for many people. In our culture we have a great degree of isolation from nature, and yet our forebears lived closely with nature for millennia. Re-connecting with the natural world can assist in renewing a sense of connection. I also have extensive experience in providing cognitive behavioral therapy, one of the most utilized modalities today.
