Therapist Overview
I meet with any and all clients ages 16+. I have worked a great deal with college students, specifically college-age women. I worked with college students at the University of Virginia for two years as a mentor and for one year as a counselor at Virginia Tech. I work with various facets of mental health concerns (anxiety, depression, relational issues, body image, etc.) and am well read on issues in sexuality regarding identity/orientation. Additionally, I have experience with grief counseling and working with individuals encountering difficult life adjustments. I view my relationship with clients through a collaborative lens in which we work together to create an environment that is safe, effective, and fosters trust. My desire is to meet clients where they are, cultivate healing, and foster change. Counseling has been a great passion of mine for years now. Finding a counselor can seem daunting and nerve wracking. I hope to alleviate some of that tension by providing a non-judgmental environment and openness to all my clients and their experiences.
