Therapist Overview
I work with children, adolescents, and adults. Play therapy is my specialty and my passion. Children express their innermost thoughts, feelings, and needs through the playing process. Using this information, I help children work through their inner conflicts with confidence. Feedback from play therapy can be very helpful in assisting parents and educators to best meet a child’s needs. I also work with adolescents and adults to discover their inner strengths and empower them to use those strengths. I primarily work from a strength-based and relational approach; however, I incorporate Mindfulness-based techniques, expressive arts, and Cognitive Behavioral therapy. I focus on helping adolescents and adults who are experiencing relationship issues, low self-esteem, abuse and trauma, depression, and anxiety. In play therapy, I use non-directive and directive approaches depending on your child’s goals and needs. I assist with managing ADHD, anger, behavioral concerns, oppositional defiance, anxiety, divorce, coping skills, depression, peer relationship concerns, low self-esteem, bullying, grief, trauma, and more.
