Therapist Overview
I have enjoyed working in a therapeutic setting with adolescents, adults and families for over 20 years. I am continually amazed by the growth that can happen when you take the initiative to create positive change in your relationships and in your emotional self. I feel honored to be part of this process of growth and change that you enter when in a therapeutic relationship. I recognize that the decision to begin the therapeutic journey can be a difficult one and aim to create a comfortable environment and relationship to help foster personal transformation I work with ambivalence, strengths and presenting issues to develop understanding and a framework for moving forward. I view therapy as a puzzle and find that each piece has an important place. My approach is client centered and varies however I draw from therapeutic modalities such as attachment theory, motivational interviewing, CBT and DBT.
