Therapist Overview
My clients are adults of all ages. Most are accustomed to accomplishing their goals but are facing a new type of challenge in life that requires a new set of skills. They want to learn coping skills that will help them live a more fulfilling life aligned with their values. I specialize in helping people who are feeling overwhelmed by life stressors, a life transition, an acquired disability or health concern, obstacles to a healthy work-life balance, or career challenges. I also help people who are experiencing depression or anxiety associated with significant existential concerns. I offer evidence-based treatment informed by Eastern philosophies, which teach us among other things that mental and physical health are intertwined. I am trained in providing CBT and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I use a CBT framework with mindfulness as a core concept and elements of other evidence-based treatments such as ACT and DBT. I want you to leave understanding that life has its stressors and feeling confident that you know how to face them. At the conclusion of therapy, my clients know they have a method that works for them to persevere through stress-inducing problems while mentally residing in a place of integrity that honors their values and holds meaning for them.
