Therapist Overview
I help my clients gain insight into their lives. I encourage client collaboration to choose goals and pace their therapy. Together, we take a non-judgmental view of emotions, thoughts, belief system and patterns adopted to cope with distress. In therapy, clients often discover how their defenses developed and how they presently affect them. The freedom to discard old patterns releases associated shame and encourages forgiveness and acceptance. I work to empower clients to learn about mindful choice and develop healthy relationships. Success is witnessing clients reclaim their authentic voice and live their authentic selves. Trauma is at the core of most people’s despair. Often, we circle the same path, even if painful, rather than risk change. I have focused my career on trauma recovery. I like to demystify the process of therapy and provide the safety and compassion to engage the work. Our brains are remarkably resilient, and I believe in the ability of clients to heal. I welcome your call. We can talk and see if I am the right therapist for you.
