Therapist Overview
I work with children, teens, and young adults. I believe we all have the desire and drive to move towards healing where we can fully be our authentic selves; we just need the support, encouragement, and safety to do so. Parents, are you worried about your child? Maybe they are sensitive, worry about everything, are hard on themselves, or are easily overwhelmed. Maybe they experienced something difficult and you want to know how to support them or improve your relationship. For teens and young adults, do thoughts and worries tumble around in your head, do you feel different and you just want to be understood, do you feel overwhelmed? Clients I work with are often experiencing anxiety, challenges with change/adjustments, loss, grief, trauma, perfectionism, challenges with self-esteem/worth, sensory processing issues, parent-child relationship or family issues, social or relationship issues, and some are learning to better understand their unique qualities such as being highly sensitive. I provide a safe space and a trusting relationship for my clients to allow them to show up as their true selves. For children, I work to increase emotional expression through play, talk, creativity, and caregiver involvement. For teens and young adults, I offer an integrative approach that blends present focus with developing understanding and insight.
