Gerardo Ramos-Colón

( English | español ) Working with individuals, families and couples across the lifespan who have experienced traumatic events, family conflict, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, domestic violence, immigration issues, cultural adjustment challenges, and men’s issues. I specialize in psychological testing for AUTISM, ADHD, learning disabilities and social-emotional functioning with both adults and children in both English & SPANISH. Gerardo works with high school, collegiate and pro athletes who are transitioning out of sports and experiencing challenges with stress, anxiety and depression associated with performance. Dr. Ramos-Colón believes it is of the utmost importance to create a collaborative relationship with clients based on mutual respect. His hope is that clients are able to implement insight gained from therapy into their life in a way that is useful, effective, and congruent with their values and goals. – PREFERRED METHOD OF COMMUNICATION IS E-MAIL. Gerardo ofrece terapia para problemas desde eventos traumáticos, depresión, ansiedad y ajustes culturales. Gerardo también ofrece pruebas psicológicas en Español para Autismo, Deficit de Atención, problemas de aprendizaje y dificultades socio-emocionales. Gerardo también está interesado en trabajar con personas que están transicionando en su vida, ya sea por su trabajo, nueva ciudad, o relaciones románticas. Gerardo trabaja con átletas que estan transicionando fuera del deporte, sea por lesiones, retiro ó cambio en su estilo de vida. A Gerardo le interesa ayudar a las personas encontrar significado y propósito en su nuevo camino. Dr. Ramos cree en la importancia de la relación terapéutica. El trabaja con sus clientes para crear un ambiente de confianza en el cual los problemas y dificultades se puedan trabajar sin juicio, ni crítica. Gerardo balancea intervenciones para problemas que afectan el presente, mientras se trabaja para ganar entendimiento que lleva a cambio a largo plazo.
