I offer family therapy for children/adolescents and their guardians, as well as individual therapy for adolescents and adults. I specialize in working with families struggling with grief/loss, communication issues, behavioral problems, anger management, trauma/abuse and/or parent-child conflict. Family sessions may be most helpful to parents who feel stuck in their ability to communicate with their loved ones and are willing to work on addressing the problem in a collaborative environment. I view problems through the lens of a systemic perspective, taking into account the how a person’s environment(s) may be affecting the problem. I believe that each person is an expert on their own situation, and my use of Narrative and Solution-Focused techniques serves to help you regain the confidence to re-develop and use your strengths to face problems on your own.
