I utilize an existential-phenomenological orientation. That is, I approach our work together from the belief that all who experience pain and suffering are wrestling with the central concerns of life. Despair, pain and suffering are often nested in our personal search to resolve the question of meaning: What am I meant to be doing? Why am I here? Why do I experience so much pain? Lasting change can be achieved when we understand how our experience involves much more than personal psychology. It is important to discuss relationships, family, community, employment, physical health, and your wider life context. I have extensive experience working with issues related to depression, anxiety, mood concerns, substance misuse, educational challenges, parenting, relationship issues and concerns related to gender and sexuality, among others.
