Therapist Overview
Don is a seasoned “life veteran” who has gone through a recovery from divorce, raising two sons on his own as well as a number of other life struggles where the personal changes required have helped him understand first hand how the counseling process can bring about positive effectual movements away from difficult circumstances. Don’s passion to come along side others in the capacity of a professional counselor is an outgrowth of his own transformations occurring from his counseling experiences. Don received his counseling degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. In particular, Don provides a safe space where clients can explore thoughts, feelings and behaviors as they move toward resolving the issues bringing them into counseling. Don understands that each person is unique, so the counseling is designed to fit what is beneficial for each client. Don’s focus and training is with those experiencing distress, depression, anxiety, and life adjustments like divorce, grief, parenting and attachment circumstances. Working with couples in their relationship is of particular interest to Don as a result of 25 years of ministry work to the separated, divorced and couples in conflict.
