I approach my work with the belief each of us deserves to be seen and heard. For many of us, the most important thing in life is to feel connected in a healthy and supportive way by those we care about. I have spent the last few years working with clients with histories of trauma incurred through relationships, be they family, romantic, platonic and/or professional. The work clients and I do together focuses on processing the impact of these relationships, development of coping skills to deal with current behaviors and moving forward with a healthier, well-balanced life. Just as most trauma is incurred through relationships, it’s my belief providing a safe and accepting therapeutic relationship, (along with a bit of humor), helps clients feel secure in exploring their feelings and gain a stronger sense of self.
