Therapist Overview
I believe that most people want to learn ways in which they can lessen the amount of stress in their lives. A person’s thoughts and feelings can often stay trapped in the negative issues of the past or be pushed forward to the concerns of the future. These two states of mind can invariably lead a person to experience depression and anxiety. Learning new techniques that allow the person to put aside the problems of the past and worries of the future allows the person to fully engage themselves in the present and capture the joys of the moment, bringing a state of happiness to their life. I work with people to define the core strengths of their identity. These core strengths are used as a life compass to guide the person through the ups and downs of life. I also help the client to develop a toolbox full of strategies that can counter their stresses. I see counseling as a path that leads the person toward a mentally healthy lifestyle. If you are a person who wants to learn new ways to deal with the stresses of life, I highly recommend that you try counseling as a means to gain more insight into how the strengths that you already possess can be utilized to bring you to a place of contentment in your life.
